Almost At The Finish Line

Almost There...   Just finished stitching- Amazing Grace- and oh my goodness..  I did my ironing- so I could get a picture- lol..   Wanted to share my model finish- before I go and finish finish over the next couple days...  I'm thinking- I will be mounting it on this gorgeous piece of fabric- and then mounting to one of our new finishing boards- that John is starting on tomorrow..  It's a lot like our tavern boards with the peg racks- but it will go wide- not tall, and be just a tad less fancy- but gorgeous all the same..  I have it in mind, on paper and ready for him to begin tomorrow..  aka- today!!!  Ya'll know me- up till the wee hours...

Anywho!!!   I decided not to add any personalizations to mine- leaving the top corner blank- so you can see the music sheet more..  BUT- as you can see below- in the chart that will come in the pattern- I added just my simple standard alphabet- with some numbers- for those wanting to add initials or dates or any other kind of personalization to theirs...

NOW---  Question to all those who are interested in buying, as soon as I release!!!   Well- need input anyway..  I am thinking on ONLY selling the printed linen- on 32 count, to be stitched 1 over 2 ( or 2 over 2 if you prefer )...   This way- it will avoid a lot of confusion and extra figuring for those that want to stitch it...  And this is because- I'm only offering the 8 x 10 print - no other sizes- AND- if you choose anything less than 32 count- then the stitched design will not look the same as my model.  It will be bigger- therefore- changing the directions- on how to stitch the piece- and how it looks in the end..  It will cover more of the music sheet- and go beyond what you see I have stitched here..  And- same goes with larger counts- i.e. 35, 36. and 40 counts..  If you had a choice for those- then it would shrink a lot- and not cover the sheet like I have stitched it...

As I have done my model- I actually started in the center of my music sheet- and went to the bottom of it- the center.   Then- I counted 5 rows down- into the plain linen..  Only because I wanted mine to set just a bit further down..  If you start center bottom - at the very bottom of the music sheet- it will just come up a little higher- just touching the Amazing Grace Music Title...

Okay- soooooo- Need Thoughts!!!   If I only offer it on 32 count linen- with a 3 " border for extra room- and with the 8 x 10 print- would that work for everyone?   I'm just trying to keep this one a LOT simpler than the last..

Sooooo- Lets hear it my friends..  Tell me whatcha think..  And while I wait for input- I'll be working on these finishing touches- and then figure out my directions- for the pattern..  ( wink wink )....   Either leave comments here- in my site- or on my facebook post- where I can interact more with everyone!!!

Thanks bunches my pretties..   I can't wait till this comes out..   It's def. going to be this weekend..  Just have to finish up some things- and get caught up on some other orders and projects with deadlines- lol..  Whew- right?

Thanks for peeping in!!!  Hugs Atcha's

I think it is great the way you did it as described in this post. 32 is fine by me.

I love this piece Nikki!! Can't wait to get my itchin' stitchin' fingers on this and workin' it up! I tend to agree with you on this one, I would offer it on only the one stitch count linen. There are just some pieces that need to be stitched as the original piece for reasons that you went over otherwise especially on printed linen it could all be off kilter so to speak if done on different counts etc. That's my 2 cents worth ;)

Would like to stitch on 32 count. Love the way it looks. Sometimes it just needs to be simple for everyone. Can't wait to order.
